It's been pointed out to me on several occasions that Rocky Balboa bears a striking resemblance to thespian Sylvester Stallone. While I can't really see it myself, I will admit that Stallone is less pansy-looking than most Hollywood types. If Rocky was to be played by any actor, I guess Stallone might qualify...if he wasn't so old!
Russell Crowe is the guy to play Rocky if they ever start doing movies on his life. Case closed. Fughedaboutit!

One of the posters for the film featured a shot of Rocky and Adrian holding hands. Although this was one of the most popular images associated with the film, the scene this image was taken from was cut from the film.

Rocky Wrote Rocky in Three Days!
Sylvester Stallone wrote the script to Rocky in three days after he saw a boxing match between the unknown Chuck Wepner and Muhammad Ali. Unlike Rocky, Wepner was unable to last the distance and was TKO'd in the fifteenth round.
